The Olympic Torch will come through BuckinghamThe Olympic torch will makes its way through Buckingham en-route to Oxford on Monday 9th July. The arrival of the convoy is expected at 10:19am and will travel from Straford Road through the high street, across Bridge Street and out on London Road as far as Swan Pool before leaving at 10:34am to be driven to Winslow. The full route can be seen on this helpful PDF from Bucks County Council which also shows "safe" areas for children.

Based on attendance at other locations around the UK, it seems likely that large crowds should be expected as people travel into town from far and wide to see the procession of the torch through the town.

The route will not actually be closed to traffic but drivers should be aware that progress through the town will be slow for this period of time and should probably make use of the ring road to minimise delays. Parked cars may be removed by police up to 2 hours beforehand and some side roads may be temporarily closed 20 minutes beforehand. Police, traffic marshals and stewards will be positioned along the route to offer help and advice.

If you're unable to make it into town for the actual event or just don't fancy the crowds you can still watch the events live from the comfort of your own home on the dedicated page of the London 2012 website.
