Music in the Market

Every year the Buckingham Acoustic Club and the Town Council sponsor a day of free live music in the town market. The 9-hour event is usually held on the weekend of the Sunday of the late May Bank Holiday. 

Christianity Explored
Have questions about Christianity but never had the opportunity to do so? Buckingham Evangelical Church are running a Christianity Explored course and this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Over seven weekly sessions you'll have the chance to investigate the heart of Christianity in an informal setting where you can ask whatever you want without worring about asking a "silly question". Breakout is a club that runs each Friday for kids in years 1 - 6. For more details see the Breakout website.

Every Tuesday and Saturday is market day, with stalls selling meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, clothes and other goods.

Farmers Market

Held on the first Tuesday of each month, the farmers market sells traditional farm produce.

Christmas Carnival

Organised each year by Rosemary and Steve Heywood and sponsored by the Town Council, the Christmas Carnival is the highlight of the winter calendar.

Charter Fair

Since the town received its charter in 1554 from Queen Mary, a Charter Fair has taken place in the town centre in October. The fair runs over two weekends and is very popular with the young people of the town.

Festival Fortnight

Buckingham Summer Festival Fortnight usually runs the first two weeks in July. The first week is often packed with daily concerts and recitals followed by a week of drama, arts and sports.
